Branches Series

This series of works is an investigation in layering, colour blends and texture in screen print to elicit an ethereal, eerie and potentially dizzying sensation. The mature trees of Greville Smyth Park were used in this investigation. Photographic halftones were used to show the texture of the bark with the intention of evoking haptic memory.

Each print is a four colour screen print in a small edition of 7 or 8 on Somerset Satin 300gsm. They measure 38cm x 56cm. The orange print uses gold ink at the top of the colour blend base layer.
