Etching Studio exhibition at Spike Open

In May of this year I was involved in curating Spike Print Studio’s offering for Spike Open 2024. This ran from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th May 2024.

We curated and ran exhibitions over the two studios and corridor space, installations, a raffle, a marketplace, a lucky dip, demos, invigilation, the artists and much more.

I have run Soma Gallery for 20 years and 13 of them were in a physical space in Clifton, Bristol. It was a nice little dusting-off for my curating and events hat to produce this series of events and exhibitions with the rest of the SPS Fundraising & Marketing Committee. Recently I have been moving away from my curating side, so it was nice to realise that it’s all still there, and I still know what to do!

And finally, my demo! I was printing letterpress text onto cut up prints and seconds to make new postcard size prints.
